Quiet Morning Jibberish

All my life, all I ever wanted was to fall hopelessly in love and be loved back. It was such a great feeling finding people to fall in love with. But then you came along and I realized it wasn't just about falling in love that I wanted. Being in love with you was everything.

Nuisance

Some presidential candidate said these during his campaign:

- Bibigyan ko ng Isang libong Piso ang bawat Pilipino araw araw pag ako ang nanalo sa darating na Eleksyon! (I will give each Filipino 1,000 pesos everyday if I win in the upcoming elections!)

- Ipagagawa kong plastic ang lahat ng kalsada sa Pilipinas para hindi na ito masisira pa at aayusin. (I'll convert all roads into plastic so that we won't have to fix them anymore.)

Good luck having a president like that.

I Miss This Kind of Kiss

I pulled on his hair, hugged him with all my strength, bit his lips, felt his tongue moving inside my mouth. It was a kiss that had a lot attached to it, that had been born along the rivers of our childhood, when we did not understand the meaning of love. It was a kiss that was suspended in the air while we were growing up. It had traveled around the world through the memory of a medal, which was hidden behind stacks of books used to study for a public job. A kiss that had been lost many times before and had now had been found. At that moment, the kiss ended years of searching, disappointments and impossible dreams.

I kissed him hard. The few people who were at the bar must have looked and thought they were seeing just a kiss. They did not know at that moment, that kiss was the summary of my life, of his life, the life of any person who hopes, dreams and seeks his way under the sun.

I don't know why some people like this song. Well it does have a nice melody and the words are easy to follow but then when you read through it, it's just sad. I keep telling myself I want to be number one to that person I am with. First in any thing or whatsoever.

Anyway, why do some people want to settle to be Number Two? And why are there people who are looking only for the next second best? Is it because they know getting Number One is hard so since Number Two somewhat fits the bill, then that's that? Why not be the Number One or better yet, be the Only One for that person? That sounds better I think.

Don't settle to be number 2. Always want to be number one in a person's life. Don't let yourself be the rebound, don't let your only role be is that you have to cure the heartache. Spare yourself from the pain of a broken heart. Find someone who will treat you as their Number One.

What You Can't Say, You Write it Down

There are thoughts you can express openly.

As there are things that you'd rather keep to yourself.

Still, thank you for being nice enough to write about the things I've done and how I have changed a life. I guess this one time written words give a better oomph to what was in the past, and to who we are at the present.

Keeper

I am someone's Keeper.

The dreams, the letters, the tokens, the messages of love that never got through, the promises that was never kept, the life that has been thrown away.  I am keeping all these as I am someone's Keeper. They let it go and searched for someone who will hold such treasures and keep it away from them, lest they want to remember again what had happened.

You find yourself a Keeper when everything is too painful to bear. You choose a Keeper you can trust, someone who will not remind you of the past that had happened. The Keeper should always tell you to move on and to be happy while he or she is trying to hide all those memories away from you. Someone you know will give you back those tokens of love, if you ask for it, once he or she is sure that you have moved on, but will still keep these treasures because they know you won't be needing them anymore.

To be a Keeper, you must first earn the trust of that person. One must also know how well to hide these treasures. A Keeper must take good care of those treasures because he or she knows it's not hers; they only got it for safe keeping. A Keeper must have a keen eye and a good perspective. A Keeper should not always be the closest friend.

I too have a Keeper. I had to carefully select the person who will keep those memories at bay, never again to be remembered. I still look back sometimes but I never ask my Keeper to show me again those treasured memories. They are best kept as they are, safely hidden in the confines of a locked cabinet.

I couldn't keep the memories that was once mine. It is no longer my job nor do I have any space of that in my life. My Keeper knows I will not need them anymore.

One Soul, One Mate

A friend of mine lost a very special person in her life. They weren't lovers but their relationship was special. So special that when he had gone to the next life, she felt her whole world had disappeared in an instant. Their time together was short but every little moments they created together as friends was well spent. I envy her that she had someone who turned her world over, someone who clicked with her personality, someone she considers more than any relationship you could ever define.

The concept of a soul mate means there's only one person for each person. Some say it's destiny, for others it's a matter of chance. They were probably each others soul mate, they just didn't know it. Being together, it's more than friendship, more than love, more than companionship. It's too damn special to be called anything.

Our soul is searching for it's other half. Though we may feel complete in ourselves, the spirit within feels something is missing. Thus we believe there is that one person who doesn't just complete you, he or she makes you feel that all that searching is worth the wait.
