Lord, how do you love an imperfect person?

Lord teach me how to love an imperfect person. Remind me that each person You send my way is unique. That they are perfect on their own. Lord, You said You love each and everyone of us whole heartedly. I want to be like You, Lord, but I find that it is difficult to love a person who hurts you and takes you for granted. Enlighten me Lord, that such people need me more because they need someone to understand them. Help me to be more understanding, Lord. When i couldn't find a reason to go on with our relationship, clear my mind and remind me of the wonderful character that person has. Let me be optimistic and think of the good things about him. Remind me not to be cruel with my words. Let me express kindly how I feel, explain properly my emotions. Help me to put my pride down and apologize when I hurt someone with my words or actions. Teach me to be a better person, Lord. Teach me to be more loving and more caring. Amidst all the pain, help me believe in the person and in the fact that things will get better. I lift all my sorrows up to you. And let me love him more than ever. Amen.
